Hi @whamor,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To connect your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w to a new Wi-Fi network, follow these steps.

Reset the Network Settings

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. On the printer's control panel, press the Home button (if available).
  3. Navigate to Setup (gear icon) > Network > Network Settings > Restore Network Defaults. Confirm the reset.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi

  1. Open the HP Smart App on your computer or mobile device. If you don’t have it installed, download it from the HP website or your device’s app store.
  2. Add a new printer. The app should guide you through the process. Ensure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want to connect the printer to.
  3. When prompted, select your printer model (M29w) and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Choose Wireless for the connection type and enter your new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.

Use the Control Panel (Alternative Method)

If you prefer not to use the app, you can also connect via the printer’s control panel:

  1. On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard. The printer will search for available networks.
  3. Select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password when prompted.

Print a Network Configuration Page

After connecting, print a network configuration page to ensure the printer is connected to the new network:

  1. Press the Information button (i) on the printer.
  2. Select Print Configuration Page.

Troubleshooting

  • If the printer does not find the new network, ensure it is within range and the Wi-Fi is enabled on your router.
  • Restart both the printer and the router if you encounter issues.
  • Make sure any firewall or security settings on the router are not blocking the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
