Hi @Seebear150,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please let us know what you mean by Chrome overriding the printer settings?

For example:

  • Are your print settings (paper size, color, duplex, etc.) not being saved?
  • Does the printer print differently when printing from Chrome compared to other applications?
  • What is the exact HP printer model?

If you're using a Chromebook, HP recommends setting up and printing through the built-in ChromeOS printing system. Please review the setup steps here: HP printer setup (Chromebook) | HP® Support

As a quick check:

  1. Open the document or webpage in Chrome.
  2. Press Ctrl + P.
  3. Select your HP printer.
  4. Click More settings.
  5. Verify the desired settings such as:
    • Color or Black & White
    • Paper Size
    • Two-Sided Printing
    • Number of Copies
  6. Print a test page and check if the settings are applied correctly.

Please let us know:

  • The Chromebook model.
  • The HP printer model.
  • Which printer settings does Chrome appears to be overriding?

With those details, we can provide more specific guidance.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
