Hi friend I am writing to you from Italy and I have the same problem with the laser printer jet pro m254nw. If I write you my email would you send me the firmware useful to solve the problem and some minimal instructions on how to downgrade? Thanks

Please follow this link:
https://www.ghost-white-toner.com/firmware-update-warning/
There is a link to Firmware Version 202006102 for HP Color Laserjet M254 Series.
Printer driver should be installed on your computer. When you start the .exe file it asks you to select printer to upgrade/ downgrade.
Please keep in mind your printer has to be with Allow Downgrade ENABLED !
Here are short video instructions i found on the net: https://youtu.be/3DxGnet3XLg
Keep in mind that meanwhile APEX has a solution - a chip for these cartridges covering the new firmware of the printer.

Thank you Stefan. I allowed downgrade and ran the .exe-file and but when I klick on "send firmware" (after choosing my printer) the only thing that happens is that the process bar starts moving. After some time the yellow smile appear but the printer remain in the same state. The firmware appear in the print queue when I start to "send firmware" but it seems like nothing more happens. I looked to a video on youtube that showed that the printer said "Programing" after one had send the firmware but this prompt dosen't come for me.

I am looking for the 254nw version for FW downgrade. I am working with Mac OS and don’t own a windows computer. If available, the Mac OS tool ( rfu-file) would be fantastic, But a windows .exe is good as well for sure.
thanks in advance,
sven
