@Bearpaw77Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Color Printing on MC OS not working!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If the Color Printing option is missing when printing from your iOS device to your HP Envy Inspire 7258e All-in-One Printer, try these steps:

Check Printer Settings on iOS

  1. Open the document or photo you want to print.
  2. Tap the Share icon → Select Print.
  3. Tap Printer Options.
  4. Look for Color Options. If missing, try another app (like Safari or Photos) to check if the option appears.

Check Printer Settings from HP Smart App

  1. Open the HP Smart App (install from the App Store if needed).
  2. Select your printer → Go to Print Settings.
  3. Ensure Color Mode is set to Color (not Grayscale or Black & White).

Check Printer Default Settings

  1. On the printer touchscreen:
    • Go to SetupPreferences or Print Settings.
    • Look for a Color Printing option and enable it.
  2. If an option like "Print in grayscale" is enabled, turn it off.

Restart Printer & iPhone

  • Power cycle the printer: Turn it off, unplug it for 30 seconds, and turn it back on.
  • Restart your iPhone (Press and hold Power + Volume Down → Slide to Power Off).

Reinstall the Printer on iPhone

  1. Go to SettingsWi-Fi and forget the printer network.
  2. Open HP Smart App → Remove the printer.
  3. Re-add the printer and try printing again.

Reset the Printer Settings

If the issue persists:

  1. On your printer, go to SetupRestore Defaults.
  2. Select Restore Network Defaults and reconnect the printer.

Try these steps and let me know what works! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
