My computer went through an update and this notice has appeared ever since and printer won't print. Computer says driver is unavailable. Office Jet Pro 8130e

It sounds like the update may have caused a driver conflict with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8138e. Here’s how to resolve the issue:

 

Restart Your Printer and Computer

  • Power off both devices, unplug them for 60 seconds, then turn them back on.

Check Printer Connection

  • If using USB, try a different port.
  • If using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.

Update or Reinstall the Printer Driver

Manually Install the Driver via Device Manager

  • Open Device Manager > Printers.
  • Right-click your printer and select Update Driver.
  • Choose Browse my computer for drivers and point it to the downloaded driver folder.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (For Windows Users)

  • Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose driver-related problems.
  • Get it here.
