Now that my printer and new computer are connected (both using wireless), these instructions make more sense to me.  I'm sure I was doing something wrong.  I'm disconnecting the Ethernet cable from my new computer to the Router.  So I, or someone else, can only have one choice - a wireless connection to the Network name that my printer is wireless connected to - the USB cable from my husband's computer (the older Pavilion) is still connected via USB and is working.  He will never agree to switching back and forth between wireless and wired.  I'm going to be removing my files from the original Pavilion to my new Pavilion, so there should be no need to include his computer in the Network (except if I need to to move files, which I will move back to a USB connection to the printer, for him.   Thanks for all of your help.  In the words of Charles Barkley, it's easy, when you know how.  Connie
