Can i connect my laptop to my printer via wireless while it is still connected via usb cable to my desktop and use both interchangeably?

@llscullin, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Yes, you can. You may connect the printer both wirelessly and via a USB cable to the PC and use it accordingly. Make sure you rename the printer as wireless and USB on the computer(devices and printers) so that you print to the right one when required.

 

To connect the printer to the wireless network,

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

 

Alternatively, you may use the USB to wireless convert option on the HP printer software.
