Hi @Sjgscott,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer's connectivity!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Restart Everything

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it for 30 seconds.
  • Restart your computer and Wi-Fi router.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check Printer Connection

If using Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer, go to Setup > Wireless > Wireless Settings and reconnect to your Wi-Fi.
  • Print a Network Configuration Report from the printer to check its IP address.

If using USB:

  • Try a different USB port and make sure the cable is working.

Remove & Reinstall the Printer on Windows 11

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  2. Click on your printer and select Remove device.
  3. Click Add device, let Windows detect it, and follow the setup.

Install the HP Smart App

  1. Download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store.
  2. Open HP Smart and add your printer.
  3. Follow the on-screen setup instructions.

Set Printer as Default & Turn Off Offline Mode

  1. Go to Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  2. Click your printer and select Manage > Set as Default.
  3. Click Open print queue and make sure Use Printer Offline is unchecked.

Update Printer Drivers

  • Download the latest drivers from HP’s official site.
  • Install them and restart your PC.

Still not working? Let me know what error message you see, and I’ll guide you further.
