HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer

My grand kids have locked me out of the control settings.  I do not have the username or password for Administrator  authorization .  Because of this issue I’m unable to connect wirelessly to the printer.

Hi @Pat718,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you have been locked out of the control settings and do not have the administrator username or password for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One printer, you can perform a factory reset to restore the printer to its initial settings. Please note that performing a factory reset will erase all settings and preferences, including network settings, and return the printer to its default state.

Steps to Perform a Factory Reset:

Turn On the Printer: Ensure that your printer is powered on.

Open the Printer's Control Panel: On the printer's control panel, touch the "Setup" icon (which looks like a gear).

Navigate to Printer Maintenance:

  • Touch “Printer Maintenance.”
  • Select "Restore" or "Restore Settings."
  • Choose “Restore Factory Defaults” or “Restore Network Settings.”

Confirm the Reset: Confirm that you want to reset the printer to its factory settings. The printer will restart and go through the initialization process.

Reconnect to Network: After the reset is complete, you will need to reconnect the printer to your wireless network. Follow the setup instructions typically provided on the printer's display or through the HP Smart app.

Reconnecting to Wireless Network:

Access Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • On the printer's control panel, touch the "Wireless" icon.
  • Select “Wireless Settings.”
  • Touch “Wireless Setup Wizard.”

Follow the On-screen Instructions:

  • The Wireless Setup Wizard will search for available networks.
  • Select your network from the list and enter the Wi-Fi password when prompted.
