Hi @MoSalah78,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it can be when you're trying to set a custom paper size of 6 x 2.75 inches on your HP OfficeJet 5255, and the height keeps defaulting to 5 inches. Let’s walk through what’s happening and how to work around it.

Workaround Options

  1. Check Supported Paper Sizes
  2. Use a Larger Paper and Crop
    • If 2.75" height is not supported, print on a larger sheet (e.g., 6x5") and manually trim the paper after printing.

  3. Create a Custom Size in Windows
    • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
    • Right-click your printer > Printer Properties
    • Under the Paper/Quality tab, click Custom or Server Properties
    • Create a new form with your desired dimensions
    • Save and select it from the print dialog
