After removing my old printer (replaced it) i get an error upon startup stating that there is a problem with hpstatusbl.dll,   It actually posts 2 similar error pop-ups  and it says the modul can't be found.

I think i have tried all solutions that i can find online, but to no avail.

Any ideas/suggestions.

Hey there! @Hjalle, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand you are getting error-problem starting C:\Program Files\HP\HP Deskjet 3050A\bin\HPStatusBL.dll on your PC.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

From File Explorer type %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup into the address bar and press Enter.
Delete the Monitor Ink Alerts shortcut of the Non-Existing printer and the error should no longer appear.

Try the steps recommended below.

1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.

2. In the Open field, type %appdata% and then press Enter.

3. Navigate to Microsoft > Windows > Start Menu > Programs > Startup.

4. Look for anything that has to do with "Monitor Ink Alert" and delete it.

If the issue still persists try the steps recommended below.

Step 1:

a) Press “Windows key” + “R” keys on the keyboard. Run window opens.

b. Type services.msc in the open box and press
Enter.

c. Select Print Spooler service.

d. Right-click on Print Spooler service and select
Properties.

e. Click on the Stop button.

Step 2:

a) Press “Windows key” + “R” keys on the keyboard. Run window opens.

b) Type “C:\Windows\System32\Spool” (without quotes) and press
Enter.

c) Try to delete the “HP Deskjet 3050A” printer drivers
from the “Drivers” and “DriverStore” folders.

Step 3:

Uninstall the Printer driver from the Device Manager.

a) Press “Windows key” + “X” keys on the keyboard.

b) Click on “Device Manager” from that list.

c) Search for the HP Deskjet 3050A printer device from the device list,
right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers from the computer.

d) Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.

Hi again and thx.

It kind of worked 🙂

After trying all solutions the only one that worked  was reinstalling the printer software...

The DLL error pop-ups have now dissapeared,

Do you think the problem will reappear if i uninstall the the newly installed printer software?

Thx in advance.

Hi again

As mentioned i reinstalled the printersoftware for my old printer, the printer i no longer have !!

What i meant to ask was, do you think i can uninstall the old printer software (the one i just installed to get rid of the problem) without the DLL error reappearing?

I now have  another printer (not HP), and i really would prefer not to have old HP software on my PC.

Thx in advance.

Hi again

My problem is as mentioned only partly fixed.

As you can see in my previous posts, i am unsure as to whether i can uninstall the HP printer software now, without the DLL problem reappearing...(i have changed to another brand, so i no longer need the HP software)

Thx in advance.
