Try the steps recommended below.
Print a network configuration page:-
-
Make sure there is U.S. letter or A4 size, unused, plain paper in the input tray.
-
On the printer control panel, touch the Setup icon
.
-
Touch Tools.
-
Swipe down the display, and then touch Network Configuration Page.
Write down the IP address of the printer
Type the IP of the printer into the address bar of your preferred browser (IE, Chrome, Firefox, etc)
Press Enter to access the EWS (embedded web server) for the printer
Select the Settings tab at the top
Click the checkbox at the bottom for "Use the same time zone set on this computer" and click Apply
HP Embedded Web Server, selected "settings", next "preferences", next "date & time", next checked the box " Sync with this computer's date and time settings".
Let me know how it goes.

I'm giving up. When I go to swipe down on the settings screen, as I have numerous times now, I inadvertently select one of the options - so the cartridges start cleaning, or the printer starts cleaning the smudges - of which there are none.
You guys have over-thought this time and date problem to the extreme. We are bringing our old printer back - this HP is too much of a hassle.

This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
Let me know how it goes.
