High, I've just talked to somebody from HP-support, because I cannot uninstall HP-Smart on my Windows 10-PC.
He finally told me, that he can't help me. It must be a Windowsproblem. I've tried to reset the app, to repair it and to uninstall, nothing helped. I have an HP envy Photo 6230 and it is working with MS-Word. I even can scan, but not with HP-Smart. Has somebody an idea what I can do to get rid of this HP-Smart-App. (Registry, Tool ?)

Hello @monismart ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
The HP software must be completely uninstalled and removed of the system.
First download only this complete package: "HP ENVY Photo 6200 All-in-One Print and Scan Driver and Accessories ",
1) File name: Full_Webpack-44.11.2778-EN6200_Full_Webpack.exe (135.5 MB)
Then proceed as follows:
Check the system for
- TuneUp`s
- Optimization Tools
- Cleanup Tools
disable them, better uninstall them. Next...
- Disconnect printer/scanner from computer- Disable WLAN, WiFi and/or remove the USB or LAN cable.- Do not switch off the printer >> unplug the power cord from the socket!
- right-click Start, search for "control panel" and open "Programs and Features"
uninstall all HP printer software > via "Programs and Features" - right-click Start, search for "control panel" and open "Devices and Printers"
In the "Devices and Printers" window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.” - Restart the PC
- Close all programs
- Change File-Explorer-Settings:View > Options > "Change folder and search options" > Tab "View"
- enable > Show hidden files, folders and drives
- uncheck > Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)
- search for "HP [printer name]" and delete all this folders
- Empty the TEMP folders
A) C:\Users\[Your user account]\AppData\Local\Temp\
B) C:\Windows\Temp\ system files cannot be deleted! - Reconnect the printer to the power supply and switch it on (if this does not happen automatically)
- Please note: WLAN has to be deactivated!
- Restart the PC
- Close all programs
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the EXE 1), see above.
- The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
- Restart the PC again
- Now the installation is complete.
Via USB, means wait until the installation asks to connect the printer/scanner.
Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.
Important information:
- Change back the File Explorer settings -
- enable > Don`t show hidden files, folders or drives
- click button > Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)
Note: The connection type can be changed later
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
