HP C309a Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

I can't delete my old printer from HP Smart.  I have tried "hide printer" numerous times and it keeps reappearing.  Have deleted and reinstalled software.  Found an old HP utility on my computer that I deleted.  Didn't work.  Tried resetting printing system.   Didn't work.  Did all of these at once and it didn't work.  The printer just keeps magically reappearing in HP Smart.  Any ideas?

Sorry for the late reply.  This maybe worked, but there was more to it.  Turns out the new printer had the same IP address as the old printer and the program somehow was thinking the new printer was still the old printer even though I added it separately.  I wound up having to temporarily change the printer network.  Before I deleted HP Smart, I deleted the printer again and deleted them from settings on the Mac.  Reinstalled HP Smart and Easy Scan and made sure they were deleted still.  Rejoined the my network.  Added the printer to settings on the Mac.  Readded them on HP Smart.

Make sure that there were no stranded print jobs. I suggest that you clear the print queue.
