Product: Macbook Pro
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I somehow, by accident, deleted my printer and have been unable to download it again.  My printer is HP Officejet Pro 6960 and my computer is an older Macbook Pro (mid 2009)  I have tried everything.  

Can anyone help?  When my printer icon was in the computer I could wirelessly use the printer.  Is there anything else I can do to connect the printer to my Macbook Pro?

I have been able to retrieve my printer icon by using a US cord and plugging from my computer to the printer.
