Whenever I start my Windows operating system, I get a message from a startup item that is left over from a printer that I deleted when that unit failed.

Does anyone know where this call is made from, so I can delete it.

Here you go...

Error message "HP Status BL.dll” – module not found

Printer has been uninstalled / removed – error message persists

Solution provided by  ShlomiL (Paraphrased):

  • Open File Explorer (formally Windows Explorer)
  • Type (copy and paste) into the address bar and press Enter:

%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

  • Delete (drag to Trash) the monitor ink alerts shortcut to the non-existing printer
