I  have bought a new HP  laptop and printer and installed them. How do I delete the old ones from HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT

@50Mike Have you tried to reinstall Hp support assistant and install the new version?

I do not want to uninstall HP support assistant as I want them for my new Laptop and Printer. I am asking how to delete my old devices from it.

Yes and done a restart. The old printer I had - HP Envy 5540 picture is not showing on my Dashboard but in the Notifications Centre it is showing as an Update - see the Screenshot.
