Suddenly my printer no longer works, probably due to an Apple operating system update. Currently have Big Sur 11.2.3, have not printed in a few weeks, possibly since this update.
I deleted the printer application. Next installed the HP Smart for desktop; application keeps saying my printer is not found, so driver can't be installed. Also, my printer is set up for USB only, is this HP Smart only for internet connections, and if so, how can this be avoided?
This printer is in excellent condition and the cartridges of which I have several unopened are readily sold; for the sake of my finances and the environment I am not going to buy a new one if I don't have to, if I do, IT WILL NOT BE AN HP...planned obsolescence? Please help.
