I have a HP Deskjet 110 printer that is now out of warranty so I cannot get in touch with really people over at HP. I just recently moved and I'm trying to connect my printer to a new wifi. I removed it from my hp smart app because it obviously wouldn't connect using my old wifi. I have reset the printer dozens of times now and it still won't show up on my hp smart app on my computer or phone. I have also reset my devices and unplugged the printer for a long time. Is there any other thing to try, to try to make the printer show up on the app so I can connect it to the new wifi?

Hi @TrippH,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Since you've already tried resetting your HP Deskjet 110 printer and the devices you are using to connect, here are some additional steps to help get the printer to show up in the HP Smart App and connect to the new WiFi network.
Check Printer Network Reset Procedure
Ensure that you're performing the correct steps to reset the network settings on the printer. For most Deskjet models, this is done by:
- Pressing and holding the Wireless button and the Cancel button for 3 seconds. This resets the wireless settings to default.
Verify WiFi Signal
Ensure that your new WiFi network is 2.4 GHz, as many HP Deskjet printers do not support 5 GHz networks. You can either verify the network band in your router settings or try connecting another device to the 2.4 GHz band if you have dual-band WiFi.
Manually Connect Printer to WiFi
If the printer doesn't show up automatically in the HP Smart App, try manually connecting it to your new WiFi network using WiFi Protected Setup (WPS):
- On the printer, press the Wireless button until it starts blinking.
- On your WiFi router, press the WPS button (usually found on the back or side of the router).
- Wait for the printer to connect to the network (the wireless light should stop blinking).
Once the printer is connected to your WiFi network, try adding it back to the HP Smart app.
Temporarily Disable Firewall/Antivirus Software
Sometimes firewall or antivirus settings can block devices from being discovered on the network. Temporarily disable these on your computer or phone to see if it allows the printer to be detected.
Reinstall HP Smart App
Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app on your computer or phone to refresh the connection:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed.
Connect Using a USB Cable (Alternative)
- Temporarily connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable. The HP Smart app should detect it this way. Once connected via USB, you may be able to set up the wireless connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
