Deskjet 1112
macOS 10.12 Sierra

Hello,

Printer new out of box won't print

When I download the hp_easy_start.ap file and double click on it nothing happens.

I have found the printer listed under printers/scanners. It is listed as idle. I have deleted it and added it a few times while selecting the use as Deskjet Driver...I get a message saying thet option is third party and I may not realize all printer functions.

Still won't print.

Help!

Just trying to use this inexpensive printer for a few months while our nice printer is in storage.

Greetings @clone

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are unable to print from your printer using your computer running on MAC OS X 10.12.3. Don't worry, I will be glad to help.

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Have you tried to use Apple update to configure your printer?

Recommend you to configure the printer using Apple update.

First, uninstall the printer software from your computer using the method suggested in this HP Article below. (Have the printer disconnected from the computer during uninstallation.)

HP Printers - Uninstalling HP Printer Software (Mac)

Once you have uninstalled the printer software, reset the printing system.

HP Printers - Resetting the Printing System (Mac)

Restart the MAC and connect the printer to your computer and run an Apple update.

HP Printers - Installing a Mac Printer Driver Using Apple Software Update

This should resolve the issue you are facing.

Let me know if this helped.
