I have set my printer's username and password to my own custom password in last months that not sure when. Today I need to fill up my printer's password to setup wireless with my wifi. I try HP Smart > Setting > Advanced Setting then Go to Settings > Restore Defaults > Restore Factory Defaults, then asking the username and password that I dont remember. How about it, how to reset my printer's username and password?

Hi,

The username would be admin (all lower-case), please give it a chance with a combination of your wireless password, to deny any option you may set it as an admin password while trying to connect the printer, also try some possible password you may selected in combination with admin.

Please let me know if you may able to access the printer or any option you may think of is rejected.

Hi Shlomil,

Its asking me for "enter printer password to continue setup" I tried admin/12345678 but its not working. I changed the username and password but forgot it. Any way to factory reset the printer?

Many thanks
