I just setup the printer with new driver. When I click 'print' it shows the print dialogue, but nothing comes out of the printer. The test page and alignment pages printed fine. REstarted my computer. How do I get it to print?!! It prints fine from my iPhone, just not my computer.

@JessicaHH, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to print from your Mac. To assist you better, how is the printer connected to the Mac?
- Which application are you trying to print from?
- Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
As you are able to print from other devices, it means the printer hardware is working fine.
- Make sure the printer and the Mac are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
- Also, check with your Internet service provider if your router is able to forward 'Bonjour packets'.
If wireless, Perform a ping test to check the connectivity
- Obtain the IP address of the printer by clicking on the Wireless icon on the printer
- Open a new Terminal window (it's located in Applications > Utilities, or you can just start typing it in Spotlight).
- Enter “ping” followed by the IP address of the printer.
- Press Return. Press ctrl C after 10 pings
- There should be 0% packet loss, share the results in your next post.

It looks like the problem is that HP does not have a printer driver for Mac OS 11 Big Sur. There is only a driver for Mac OS 10. Do you know when HP will have a new driver?
There is no problem with printer connectivity to the wifi. The computer and printer are on the same wifi - the only option is 2.4 network.
Yes, I have tried printing from different applications: Chrome and Adobe Reader, for example.

Yes, there is no driver available for this model printer to work on macOS 11 as of now on the HP Support site. However, this is an AirPrint compatible printer.
Perform the PING test and let me know the result.

2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.

4.) Click the plus sign click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.

I was unable to perform the ping test since no IP address is displayed when pressing the wifi button on the printer. Where would it be displayed? the printer screen is too tiny and doesn't show any new info when that button is pressed.
However, deleting and re-adding the printer as AirPrint worked and now it prints from my Mac! Thank you very much.

To find the IP address, print a network configuration page:
On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button and the Information button
at the same time.
Both a Network Configuration Page and a Wireless Network Test Report print.
*As you are now able to print, you need not perform a PING test.
Glad to know that the issue is now resolved. Feel free to contact us with any concerns related to HP products.
