Hi,
Thanks for using the HP forum.
Which OS are you using?
If you are using Windows OS, follow these steps (Blue Dot) to get the IN-OS drivers for your printer.
(example used is with Win 7)
- Go to Devices and Printers > Add a printer
- Select "Add a local printer"
- Use an existing port (could be Dot 4 or USB port)
- Click on "Windows Update" (may take a while to update) and then "HP"
- Scroll until you find your printer model.
- Click "Next" and walk through the rest of the steps to install your printer.
Do let us know if that helps.
Thanks.

I guess the past up dates removed it. All the Deskjets listed are all under 1000. Most of them are laserjets.
All i have to do is find the installion disk which I can't find. Naturally, i have the previous disk to the former 3740.
I tried the update function several times but all was the same.
I have a laptop with windows 8.1. i could try that, but won't do me too much good to use two PC's.
Thanks!

Hi Scand...
We have the same problem. In my case, I can't really find the installation disk for the driver.
I hope you could help me to have a copy of the driver for HP Deskjet 3940?
Many thanks in advance.
