My printer has suddenly lost the ability to print cleanly. Both the black and colors are faded and there are lines all over the place. Nothing is legible. I have tried all three levels of print head cleaning with no success. Re-alignment didn't resolve it either. I tried a new black cartridge, but that didn't change the results. I am out of new colors, but don't want to spend the $100 to replace them if the printer is shot.
I removed the print head and reinserted it to see if that made any difference. (It didn't) Thoughts?

I understand the print quality is not satisfactory. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.
If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Fixing Print Quality Problems, and the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue either with the printhead or the printer.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.
If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
