HP Deskjet 2540 All-in-One Printer series
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Have a Deskjet 2540 connected via a cable to my new mac running High sierra.  Each time I switch on my computer the printer isn't seen.  If I take cable out and put back in it's all ok but that is a little annoying.  Tried to go through HP easy start to download new drivers but it will only give me one option of a printer, my other one, an Envy 5546 in a different room to where I'm working!  That is connected wirelessly.  Any solutions?  Also can you connect two printers wirelessly to one Mac?

Cheers Jackie

Actually the printer is connected via a cable. The problem happened after I got a new computer and now have High Sierra.  Therefore last time it was working was with old computer.  As I said I wanted to download drivers again but HP smart start only gives me the option of my other computer which is wirelessly connected.

Cheers for helping.
