HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2336 All-in-One Printer
macOS 26.0 Tahoe

Hi, I tried all the possible ways to set up a new HP Deskjet 2336 all in one printer to my Mac (Latest OS 26.1 ) and failed miserably.

First I have installed drivers from https://support.hp.com/vn-en/drivers/hp-deskjet-ink-advantage-2300-all-in-one-printer-series/model/3... it didn't work. The HP Easy Start can find the printer in list and then only suggests installing the HP Easy Scan app (no printing apps were seen then), which I downloaded and installed. But then, in the printer test page option, it doesn't print a thing! Just gives thanks and closes, but no printing is possible.

Then, I've also tried with HP smart app. It can only give options for for finding printer via Wireless and Ethernet, As this is an USB based printer, it can't find it, neither I can list it manually. There is an option for adding with Serial Number but, when I add it, it shows me to click and install driver, which only takes me to the same previous page, nothing else. It keeps going around the loop.

Finally, I tried many times via Apples Systems Settings > Printer & Scanners. It quickly show my printer and shows that I can add via USB, but when I add it, both as a generic printer or find its driver (which shows there is an option to select "Deskjet Printer Series") I have tried selecting both, neither works at the end. I can add the printer, It show in my printer list, but again, whenever I print, it quickly disappears from the printing que. So at the end nothing happens.

I tried photocopying with it, and it works perfectly. So now issue with the printer's power cable, Ink cartidge set up, all are okay. It's just not working as a printer or scanner.

I have bought this as an emergency,  but it is not helping in any way. I am now totally stuck with it. Need help desperately.

Thanks!!
