Hi all,

Please could somebody advise me of a way to detect and deploy outdated drivers on HP PCs on our network.  This will need to be centrally managed.

I know HP have a set of tools but I am not sure which one will do what I require.

Thanks so much.

HP deployment tools are designed to run on business class machines.

Some of what used to be available has been retired - some of what is available now has been updated.

Client Management Solutions – Manageability Tools

For example,

Note:

The Client Management tool set does not include HP Support Assistant.

Thanks for this -

I believe I am after the HP Client Management Script Library (HP CMSL).

Do you know if there are any guides around that I can follow to get this set up?

If you are using printers connected to a print server you can use the PARK (printer administrator resource kit) to update the server drivers and in the case of V3 Drivers this will push the updated drivers to the workstations. If V4 drivers are used then you will need to ensure you have pushed the driver package out to the workstations first.

Opps!  I mis-read the question.

Printers - not system updates.

@QARA

Yes, Updating Printer software is different from deploying machine updates.

It might be possible, of course, to develop the tool set to handle the printer software.  ?

Best pay attention to what @Repairatrooper has recommended.
