Product: Elitebook 8440p
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Trying to install Lexmark inkjet printer model Z1300 onto HP 8440p as a local printer; downloaded and installe driver cjg1300win7en; clicked on Ctrl Panel > Devices and Printers,  green color began to extend across the bar near the top of the page but it never reaches the end of the line, the screen showing Devices and Printers does not appear; shutdown and rebooted - samething - when I clcik on Devices and Printers the screen showing Devices and Printers will not appear.  What should I do?

Restored system partiion from backup, access to Devices and Printers control screen is back.
