Dear HP,

On my HR SMART App I am missing the Diagnose & Fix Icon; why? This is happening on both my iphone HR Smart app and on my HP PC. How can I resolve this problem?

Hi @JuliaJules80,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the Diagnose & Fix feature in the HP Smart app may not be available for certain printers or in some regions. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Update HP Smart App

Ensure you have the latest version of HP Smart installed on both your iPhone and HP PC:

  • On your iPhone, go to the App Store → Search for HP Smart → Tap Update (if available).
  • On your HP PC, go to the Microsoft Store → Search for HP Smart → Click Update (if available).

2. Check If Your Printer Supports Diagnose & Fix

Not all HP printers support this feature. Try using HP Print and Scan Doctor on your PC instead:

  1. Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP’s official website.
  2. Run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose issues.

3. Reinstall HP Smart App

  • On iPhone:
    1. Press and hold the HP Smart app icon → Tap Remove App → Delete.
    2. Go to the App Store and reinstall HP Smart.
  • On HP PC:
    1. Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Find HP Smart → Click Uninstall.
    2. Restart your PC and reinstall HP Smart from the Microsoft Store.

4. Check HP Smart Account & Region

Sign out and sign back into HP Smart to check if it resolves the issue. Some features might not be available based on your HP Smart account region.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
