My printer keeps having difficulty recognizing new 902 cartridges or even says they are outdated despite being the correct cartridge number.  I do buy these from Staples, so I know they are legit HP products.  Printer is perfectly fine and no need to buy a new one.  It was working perfectly fine before I recently replaced the cartridges.  I'm assuming this has to do with a firmware update.  Is there a fix for this?

Check the expiration date on ink cartridge. The latest firmware prevents using expired ink cartridges.
