DeskJet 2722-2700

I have had this printer for some time and do not know the old account info I’ve used. Is there a way to completely reset it to add into a new account? Or add it into another account?

Hi @PiñaMango,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Performing a factory reset on your HP DeskJet 2722-2700 series printer should allow you to set it up with a new account. Here are the general steps to do a factory reset.

Note: Performing a factory reset will erase all the current settings on the printer, including Wi-Fi configurations, so you'll need to set it up again.

  • Power on the Printer: Make sure your printer is turned on.
  • Reset the Printer: Locate the small reset button on the back or bottom of the printer. It might be a small hole that you can press with a paperclip or a button that you need to press. Press and hold the reset button for about 5-10 seconds.
  • Wait for Reset: After releasing the reset button, the printer will go through the reset process. This may take a minute or two.
  • Reconfigure Settings: Once the reset is complete, the printer will be restored to its factory settings. You will need to set it up again, including connecting it to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Set up with New Account: During the setup process, you'll be prompted to add the printer to your HP account. If you don't have an account or want to use a different one, you can create a new account or log in with the desired account.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
