Document prints in black and white.

On giving a print command from the PC, the printer prints in black and white, whereas it is able to copy a page in colour. I don't know why is this happening. I have already tried rebooting the printer and the PC, as well as cleared the cartridges and aligned the printer. I have installed genuine cartridges and the ink levels are also good. I am facing this problem from two different PCs.

Which software do you print from ? Please use Printer Properties and select Grayscale Off.

Where is the Printer Properties you are talking about? Btw, I am printing from Word and Paint. Both of them result in a black and white printout. But doing a colour copy from the printer itself prints in colour.

I did not find any such option. However I ended up fixing it myself. I just removed the official software by HP and re-added the printer using the windows settings menu

Also, I have switched to this Windows app which gets installed automatically.

Finally, now I can print colour documents from my PC. This is what worked for me.
