Envy 6255
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased the HP Envy 6255 printer from Amazon.com. The description of the printer says it supports legal size paper. However, I have found out that it does not. It will only let me create a custom size up to 12” long. It will feed legal size paper through and print on it up to letter size or 12 inches depending on which size I select. Has anyone figured out how to get it to print legal size? HP support just tells me this printer doesn't print legal size.

OK - It appears that the USA version (the printer configured for "inches", for example) does indeed restrict custom sizes to 12.2 inches in length.

I cannot explain the original discrepancy.

It does appear that HP Support provided you the correct information for this printer.

What to do?

Well, it's a three year old model - and hopefully you got a good deal on the purchase.

Perhaps you can return the printer to the seller.

The printer is apparently not going to do what you want in this case.
