I cannot set up my printer - didn't know it is supposed to be this difficult! Two main questions:
1). does the printer not recognize a hotspot connection as a wi-fi option?
2) is this printer not able to print through an ethernet/USB cord from my computer? I am in a location that doesn't have access to wi-fi.
I did get it to print twice, however it was in black only...no color was sent through to printer. Now I can't even get it to print at all.

A1. Normally NO, printer won't connect to phone hot spot.
A2. Cables
- You can use USB cable for printer to connect directly to computer
- Normal direct LAN cable won't work, you may be able to use crossover cable (in theory this should work, I have not tested). You have to connect to a switch or router (even not on internet).
Finally: Please use the following Guide to connect printer to a wifi network

Q2. a). It does say USB in description of this printer, however the only cord plug-in i can find is for the Ethernet cord.... no USB outlet plug.... Help!
b) And what is a crossover cable?? And a LAN cable? And if we use a crossover cable, why do we need a switch (?) or router then? I am totally confused.... If a wi-fi connection is required to use the printer, why don't they say that in the printer description, so I don't purchase it in the first place? Are all new printers like this?? I don't have access to wi-fi where I will be using it.
