I have an HP 6032E Double-sided printer. However, it is not printing double-sided. In fact, my previous printer, an envy 5640, did at first print double-sided, but later it stopped printing double-sided. So I thought I needed new drivers and software, and downloaded them. I think they installed properly, but my printer still doesn't print double-sided. Is there any reason why the double-sided printing does not work? I have tried using 'diagnose and fix' on HP Smart, but still no joy. Is there something else I should try?

Hi @Wrikki,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are facing issues with the double-sided printing.
If double-sided printing is not working on your HP 6032E printer despite trying all possible steps and updating drivers, here are some additional troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check printer settings: Ensure that the printer settings are configured correctly for double-sided (duplex) printing. You can usually access these settings through the printer properties in your computer's print dialogue box.
Update printer firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve printing issues. Click here
Check paper type and size settings: Make sure that the paper size and type settings in both your printer and the print dialogue box on your computer match the paper loaded in the printer. Some printers may not allow double-sided printing on certain paper types or sizes.
Clean the rollers: If the printer rollers are dirty or worn out, they may not be able to pick up the paper properly for double-sided printing. Clean the rollers according to the printer's manual. Click here
Check for mechanical issues: Inspect the printer for any obstructions or mechanical issues that may be preventing it from performing double-sided printing properly. Ensure that all trays and doors are closed securely.
Reset the printer: Try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. This can sometimes resolve software-related issues that may be affecting double-sided printing.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware problem with the printer. Contact HP support for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
