Downgrading my firmware fixed my Color Laserjet Pro MFP M281fdw

 

just follow instructions and don't forget to turn off updates after downgrading Firmware

I would take it to a windows10 PC run the downgrade program then set it up on wore  Mac. most likely this will work when firmware gets upgraded I think they normally do it for windows and Mac at the same time. the downgrade should work the same way. I'm not positive

Thank you for your reply but unfortunatly the link posted ends to a page where the link for the 20200612 firmware Mac version doesn't work. 

 

If someone can send me the Mac firmware it would be great.

Same here. I smell a class action lawsuit in the air. There is a difference between refusing warranty because of after market, 3rd party accessories being used that were not certified by HP and flat out not allowing people to do what they want with the printer after it’s purchased and owned. HP no longer owns the printer. This is a coercive monopoly.
