Download or Upgrade Driver

I was trying to scan something into my laptop when error message "Deskjet 2600 cannot be found" came up. I tried to fix the problem, but was told I had a problem with my driver and needed to upgrade. I tried to upgrade the driver, but somehow it didn't take. I either misunderstood what to do or I don't understand what to do . Can someone please simplify the procedure for me? Thank you in advance!!!

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.  We'd suggest to restore wireless to defaults and then use HP Smart.

Restore Wireless steps starts from time 34 secs.

Download HP Smart app from Microsoft store:

1. Open Microsoft store

2. Search for HP Smart

3. Download and install

4. Add printer to HP Smart

Thanks for the info; however it didn't work. I do what the person in the video instructs me to do, but when I put in the site to HP, it shows something totally different, and I cannot get to download the driver software; plus the page looks different on my screen that it is on his. I have no idea what to do next........

HP changed the way the FULL software can be downloaded.  Follow the picture below to get the software.

Download the HP FULL software from this link:

Install the software.
