Hi @Rejeeya ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing long installation times for the HP LaserJet M1136 MFP driver, there could be a few reasons for this and several steps you can take to try to resolve the issue:

  • Check System Requirements: Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for the printer driver. Sometimes, older or slower computers can take longer to install drivers.
  • Internet Connection: If you're downloading the driver from the internet, ensure you have a stable and fast internet connection. Slow internet speeds can result in longer download times.
  • Download Source: Ensure you're downloading the driver from a reliable source, preferably the official HP website. Downloading from unofficial sources can lead to corrupted or incomplete driver files.
  • Antivirus/Firewall: Your antivirus software or firewall might be blocking the installation process or scanning the downloaded files, which can slow down the installation. Temporarily disable your antivirus/firewall and try installing the driver again.
  • Driver Package Size: Large driver packages can take longer to install, especially on slower computers. Be patient and let the installation process complete.
  • Background Processes: Close any unnecessary programs or background processes that might be consuming system resources. This can help speed up the installation process.
  • USB Connection: If you're installing the driver via USB connection, make sure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer. Sometimes, loose connections can cause installation issues.
  • Restart Installation: If the installation process seems stuck or is taking too long, you can try canceling the installation, restarting your computer, and then attempting the installation again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
