Hey guys
Recently bought a new Lenovo Yoga C940 laptop and upon installing my printers I ran into a problem with this specific printer (Laserjet Pro MFP M426fdw).
I installed 2 other HP Laserjet printers just fine (Laserjet MFP1536DNF and a Laserjet Pro MFP 277) but cannot for the life of me figure out why I'm having issues with this one.
So the problem is that upon installing the full solution driver software package, when selecting connect through network, it will not find the printer. I tried manually entering the IP, Host name as well as the Hardware address to no avail.
The thing that really confuses me is if I try installing the printer through the windows "Printers & Scanners" tool it finds it and installs it just fine and I can even print. When I enter the IP in a browser it also opens up the printer's portal page. So the problem seems to lie with the installation software.
I also tried all the steps aligned in this thread with no results. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Software-and-Drivers/HP-driver-installation-does-not-find-prin...
I really hope you guys can help me figure this out.

Hi,
Please make sure you use below drivers to install the printer:
If you enter the IP in a browser, can you see the printer's WS page loads correctly?
May you have any security software on your PC?

That one appears to be a different version than is listed on the software and driver page. I'll try it out monday when I'm back at the office.
To your second question, yes the printer's page loads when I enter the IP in the browser

Tried the suggested driver version and still no luck.
Yes the printer page loads when I enter the IP in a browser.
The only security software I have is windows security.
I went ahead and just installed it through devices and printers, which enables me to print just fine and I can also scan through the windows scan app. Only issue I'm encountering is I cannot seem to scan to PDF, only JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP.
If you can maybe tell me how to get that to work, I'd be golden.
