I have an HP Envy 4512 printer that up until just yesterday worked perfectly fine, but when I went to print some things from my laptop I kept getting a printer connection problem. Now it says "Driver is Unavailable" when I re-add it to my devices and printers area in settings. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software and drivers but that doesnt seem to work. I have tried to follow suggestions from the virtual technical assistant. What do I need to do to fix this problem?

Welcome to HP support community.
Did you uninstall the printer driver from the root level?
If not, follow the below steps:
Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Restart the PC again.
Download and install printer full feature driver
Click here to download the driver.
I hope that helps.

I just tried all of those steps and it still gives me the "driver is unavailable" and doesn't even show up as a printer but only a scanner now. I did have it at one point where it was installed correctly but then when I tried to print it always gave "Error printing". I don't know what else to do.

I did a diagnosis and fix run through the HP Smart App. It said it fixed the driver issue, but now I get this error when I try to print a test page. Is there any way that some one can remote access my laptop and help and look into this issue?
