Driver Windows 11 Printer C4580

I saw HP answer about the need for a Windows 11 driver : Printer C4580 is considered as a vintage product by HP...

It is not acceptable, HP must deliver the Windows 11 driver for C4580. My printer is working well, I am not going to put it away as a garbage. 

HP is definitly not a green company.

I agree -- "Vintage" is a good description.

I found an Amazon reference to this model - first available on that site in 2008.

HP is not going to provide new drivers for the printer.

That said, at this writing, the Windows Built-in Driver is listed as available for both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

If you wish to do so, take advantage of what is available.

Old driver is Gone

We see occasional questions about printers for which full driver software installation packages are no longer listed for current (or older) versions of Windows.

The full driver printer software for this printer is no longer listed as available from HP.

When available for the printer and a supported version of Windows, install the Windows built-in print drivers.

Examples

Windows Fax and Scan: In Windows, search for and open Windows Fax and Scan. Click New Scan, and then select your printer.

Windows Paint: In Windows, search for and open Paint. Click FileFrom scanner or camera.

Windows Scan app: In Windows, search for and open the Windows Scan app. If it is not listed, go to Windows  Scan (in English) to install it.

For the scanner, the solutions provided don't work under Windows 11, neither Windows Scan nor Paint detect the scanner.

Third Party Software

I've read varying reports about this software.

I believe it is a "purchase" option (not free).

I do not know whether it is available in your region.

What else?

If you can find no other options, this company specializes in Scan software for unsupported printers.
