64 Bit Driver for HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477 PCL 6:  I have one of these printers which is able to print double sided automatically.  When I switched to a new laptop, the new driver (64 bit) will only allow manual duplex printing.  Has anyone else had this problem?  I have updated the driver but the problem persists.

I managed to find the solution ... it is much more complicated than I imagined andnow I can't remember clearly how I found it.  But I think this is what you do .. use the control panel to get to devices and printers, right click for printer properties, then select Device Settings, then select Installed under Duplex Unit.  Yes ... complicated.  How does the average dumb guy like me ever get to solve such a problem?

Hi,
Make sure the Automatic Duplexing option is enabled:

Enter Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right click the printer icon, then click Printer Properties.
Click the Device Settings tab.
Set the Automatic Two-Sided Duplex Accessory as installed and click OK to save the change.

Now Automatic Duplexing should become available.

Thank you for the advice.  I tried your options and this is possible if the printer is connected via the printer cable through the LPT port.  However the driver for the printer when it is connected to my laptop through the router (wireless to the router in both directions) does not allow the option of auto duplex. Weird.  Any further suggestions?
