Could I please have the driver for my printer? HP Smart is not recognizing the printer even with the IP address and being connected via USB.

 

I am on Windows 10.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing difficulties with your HP DeskJet 2624 All-in-One Printer on Windows 10. To resolve the issue where HP Smart is not recognizing the printer, please follow these steps:

Uninstall Existing Printer Software:

  • Disconnect the USB cable from your printer.
  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Locate your HP printer software in the list, select it, and click Uninstall.
  • After uninstalling, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • If your HP printer is listed, right-click on it and choose Remove device.
  • Open the Run dialog by pressing the Windows key + R, type printui.exe /s (note the space before /s), and click OK.
  • In the Print Server Properties window, click on the Drivers tab.
  • If you see any HP printer drivers listed, select them and click Remove.
  • Close all windows and restart your computer.

Download and Install the Latest Driver:

  • Visit the HP DeskJet 2624 All-in-One Printer Drivers page.
  • Under the Driver-Product Installation Software section, download the HP Easy Start software.
  • Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • When prompted, connect the USB cable between your printer and computer.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • If the issue persists, download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool.
  • This utility can diagnose and resolve many common printing and scanning problems.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the connectivity issues between your HP DeskJet 2624 printer and your Windows 10 computer. If you continue to experience problems, please let me know, and we can explore further troubleshooting options.
