Since updating my OS, my printer will only print one document and then it takes several minutes before it will print the next.  I also am unable to scan from the printer to my computer.  I checked for a new driver, but there is none for my operating system.  I have removed the printer and added it again.  Rebooted everything.  Does this mean I have to purchase a new printer?

Hi,

Try performing a full reboot cycle at the following order:

  1. Restart your router, then allow it 2-3 minutes to start
  2. Restart your Mac
  3. Restart your printer,

Now try printing and check for any difference, if the same persist follow HP Easy Star below to update the latest printer drivers:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

Finally, ensure your drivers are up to date by clicking the Apple icon, select About this Mac and then press Software Update.
Click Store on the top menu bar, click Reload Page, click Update All if any updated are available.

Regards,
Shlomi
