Now that the printer has an updated certificate (OK, it doesn't really work this way, but for simplicity's sake, just roll with it), try installing this program and reinstall (without uninstalling anything):

I just downloaded the file again and tried to install. I did not remove anything before starting the install, but this software removed everything that was installed before. I don't know how to do this without removing anything. There are not options for that. Also I am not sure what you mean by "installing this program and reinstall". anyhow again when it is searching for the printer, it can't find my printer even if I tell it the MAC address, IP address or try using a host name.. Any other ideas?

What you did is fine. Let's try resetting the NVRAM.
For your model:
After performing an NVRAM initialization, reconfigure any computers that print to this product. Uninstall and
then reinstall the product software on the computers.
1. Turn the product off.
2. Press the right arrow button. Hold this button as you turn the product on.
3. When Permanent storage init. appears on the display, release the right arrow button.
When the product has finished the NVRAM initialization, it returns to the Ready state.

Ok, this was very difficult to perform as the instructions you gave were not correct. I finally found a video in Spanish none the less and it showed how to do this. I was able to get the NVRAM successfully reset and I then tried to install the software but it still fails. Same issue, it can't find the printer. I see there is a new version of the firmware for this printer out as of July 30, 2020. Would this help at all? I am not sure as I see that many people seem to be having issues installing a firmware update and I don't want to create a bigger issue. It does appear to me that this firmware seems to resolve the issue others were having though. What do you think?

Give this driver set a shot:

You're not. I was helping a bunch of Mac users earlier and pasted the wrong link.
Download this:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/LES/M177/Color_LJPro_MFP_M177_full-solution_16259.exe
Even if you've already run it, run it again.
Let me know if that fixes it.

Still having the same issue. It can't find the printer. I disabled my firewall, tried autosearch, search by IP, search by host name, and search by MAC address and still not finding the printer. This make absoloutly no sense. Has Windows updated something that has broken the installation of drivers like this? Should I try installing in Safe Mode with networking? What do you think?

There is a good change that either a) the printer is no longer configured properly for your network, or b) your router configuration changed somehow. I would check your router settings first, and then completely reset your printer (not just the NVRAM, but reset to factory settings).

Haha, you're a genius! When I read this post I thought well, now it has been a while, but I recently changed routers and this is the first time to install this printer since then. I got the old router out and connected the printer and my laptop to it and guess what. I was able to get it installed correctly. Now I just need to figure out what the problem is with my new router. But that is not your issue. Thank you so much for helping me work though this! Blessings to you!
