I downloaded the latest version 5.1 driver for Mac OS 10.11 and it says the certificate is expired. When I try to print something, it doesn't work. My printer is a HP LaserJet M1212nf. I checked in the Library and the driver was not installed. The printer was working fine up until a month ago and I've had Catlina installed for 6 months. How can I get the driver back on without running into this certificate issue. It's very frustrating.

Hi,

Try reinstalling the drivers from Apple instead:

Also, if you see the same certificate warning, this warning can be bypassed by pressing OK instead of Cancel if I recall correctly.

Shlomil -

Thank you so much!

The link you sent absolutely worked well. I was really at my wit's end.

I did try to hit okay when the certificate message came up but that did not work.

It's unfortunate that the fix is so obscure. Without your help, I would still be pulling my hair out.

Best wishes to you and be well during these crazy times.

cheers, Zoltan
