Lenovo Z51
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have tried everything.  Deleted and reinstalled printers I don't know how many times. Followed lots of instructions from Microsoft and HP. Used HP assistant and actually spoken to somebody at HP who could'nt offer any suggestions. Reinstalled drivers from HP. Used HP Smart to find and set up printer. Each time I think it will be fine and then I see the DREADED Driver Unavailable "message" under the device name. My husbands slightly newer Lenovo has no problem......the printer is logged with HP for its' printer cartridge  plan. Can anybody help ....... it is so frustrating I would like to throw the laptop through the window!

The model is HP Office Jet 4630. My laptop is Windows 10 64 bit. We used to have no problems copying or printing but can no longer do either of these from my laptop a Lenovo Z51.  As I said in my original message I have tried loading drivers and software from HP and followed various .routes suggested by Microsoft but just seem to be going round in circles. ..... always getting the Driver Unavailable message.   I wondered if this is caused by some switch in the Microsoft software that checks drivers and have read a bit about it but worried about amending it in case it affects other things.

Are you able to make Photocopies?

If Yes, then uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Restart the computer and download the full feature software Link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL49503/mp-120038-6/OJ4630_198.exe and follow the onscreen instructions
