I am trying to get my printer/scanner reinstalled, and I get the message that the driver is unavailable. It's an Officejet 6700

Hi,

Try downloading the driver from the support page for your printer and install:

 

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-6700-premium-e-all-in-one-printer-seri...

Thanks. Now I can get the printer to work. But for some reason the scanner feature isn't working. I get a message that the device is busy.

Hi,

Please perform a color copy to ensure the device functionality.

 

Assuming a copy is successfully done, follow steps 7 and 8 below and check for any difference:

Thanks. It did take a new download and then a reboot, but everything is up  and running again.
