Drivers for macOS 10.15 for Laserjet 2420d

I cannot find drivers for the Laserjet 2420d with macOS 10.15.   Any help will be appreciated.  I am trying to set up the printer to work with the Mac.

Hi,

Please make sure your macOS is fully up to date by installing any update for Catalina:

Next, uninstall any existing HP Software by following the HP Uninstaller Utility below:

Next, download and install the latest drivers below:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/ASU/HPPrinterDrivers5.1.dm...

Finally,  open System Preferences, and then open Printers & Scanners to re-add your printer. be sure to select the printer model within the Use drop-down menu.

I downloaded the software and installed it, the computer is not seeing printer.  I do not see it listed when I open add printer.

Hey Estelle,

That means we experience any connectivity issue.

How long is the USB cable?

Please make sure it is directly connected to the Mac and not through any hub or an Apple keyboard, as well without any USB extension and that you use a standard cable of 1.5 - 1.8m long.

Is it directly connected to the Mac? or may through any hub, adapter, etc?

Also you may try another USB cable and then check, it might be a faulty cable.
