I just got this new MFP M479fdw printer for my home/office and have been trying to make the Dropbox App work. Also was on chat with HP support for more than 1hr, and they could not resolve the issue. Here is the error message I get after completing my username and password "There was an internal processing error. Please retry or manually check the firmware updates." I have checked firmware updates and tried resetting the printer, but nothing works. Has anyone found a solution to this issue? Thanks for your help!

The most common issue we run into is problems with either the gateway address programmed into the printer or the DNS settings not allowing the printer to find the dropbox website. If you are using an existing dropbox location and are sure you have the correct user name and password then this is where I would look. An alternative you can look at is if you cannot get dropbox to work directly, you could scan to the dropbox folder on your PC using the scan to folder app.

Thanks for taking time to respond. Can you please help me understand what is the correct gateway & DNS setting? Also, I’m sure it is connecting to the Dropbox server as I intentionally gave a wrong password once and the error message was “check your email or password” which means it is connecting to the Dropbox server. Thx!
